At 3pm of the night The Band Perry was to take the stage at Delaware’s Americana Bayside Welcome Center, two men walked into the venue and made what are called “alarming statements” to an employee at the front desk.
15 minutes before the concert was scheduled to begin, The Band Perry, along with police and security officials decided to cancel the show in the best interest of the band, the venue, and the thousands that were reported to attend.
The band released a statement following the postponement on their Twitter:
Police are still searching for the two men who made the threats. Security footage captured the two inside the building:
The concert has been rescheduled for August 17th.
